Disneyland Paris: Bistrot Chez Rémy Review

We love the film Ratatouille so dining at Bistrot Chez Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park was an absolute must for us.

Theming of the restaurant is absolutely amazing and it does feel like you are being shrunk down to the size of Remy.

The menu is somewhat limited. I assume it was decided to have a few items on the menu and do them really well in oppose to having a large selection of sub-par quality.

There are two menu choices: Plus and Premium. Check out the full menu here:

Our dining plan included the Plus menu. However, I have decided to upgrade to the Premium menu ($33) and add wine pairing ($21).

I chose duck foie gras with fig jam, filet with premium ratatouille and gratin potatoes, and tarte with Isigny cream. There are only two choices of desserts on the Premium menu, but I could have picked from any dessert listed in the Plus menu as well. The tart was recommended by the server so I decided to go with it.

I have enjoyed every single bite of my meal. Well, all but the ratatouille – I just don’t like either eggplant nor zucchini, but the dish looked beautiful.

Bunky stuck with the Plus menu. She went with potted chicken rillettes with toast, linguine with tomato sauce and ratatouille, and chocolate and hazelnut eclair (Nutella is huge in France – it is everywhere!). In case you are wondering what potted chicken rillettes are – it is almost like chicken pate, so, naturallyBunky had zero interest in it. She ate some linguine around the sauce (she did not like the sauce either) but she devoured the éclair (of course!)

The dinner was well paced and we had time to enjoy all of us dishes and the atmosphere without being rushed. In fact, the dinner took over two hours: our reservation was at 5pm and when we were done the park was already closed. The cast members really wanted us out of the park as soon as possible but we were able to snap a few pics on the way out with no one around us.

Overall, while dining at Bistrot Chez Rémy is quite expensive, in our opinion, it is once in a lifetime experience and it is not be missed.
