Home Reviews Lounges ANA Lounge (Priority Pass) at Lisbon Airport Review

I absolutely love my Priority Pass membership (I especially love the fact that I did not have to pay for it – learn how here), and I always look forward to putting it to a good use.

Since our layover was more than 12 hours long, even after the tour of Lisbon, we still had quite a few hours to spend to in the airport, so, naturally, we headed straight to the lounge.

ANA Lounge is the only Priority Pass that is open in Lisbon airport as of right now. The other two – ABC and Blue Lounge – are temporarily closed due to current travel restrictions.  Hopefully, they’ll be reopening soon. You can check the current status here.

Priority Pass and Dragon Pass members and passengers traveling in business/first class on associated airlines (see the list here) get free access to the lounge.

You can also purchase a pass for €35/adult, €15/child.

The lounge is open every day from 6 am to 10 pm.

Location

ANA Lounge is located in Terminal 1 (the Schengen area), above Praça Lisboa (Lisbon Square) on the 6th Floor.

You will see it straight ahead as you get off the escalator.

Seating & Amenities

ANA lounge offers a variety of seating options:

  • chairs arranged in threes with small tables on the left
  • bench seating on the right
  • rows of armchairs in the middle
  • small tables with chairs in the food/beverage area
  • and finally, the most popular real estate –  the armchairs by the window, facing the runway

The lounge never got crowded when we were there. However, given the size of the lounge, I think it could easily handle a large influx of travelers.

The lounge also offers:

  • private booths with sofa, perfect if you want to take a quick nap.
  • smoking room
  • showers (shower kit is €16)

Food & Drinks

The lounge is well-stocked with soft drinks: from several kinds of fruit & berry juices to soda and water.

At the bar area you can get anything from coffee to whiskey, including the most popular Portuguese alcoholic beverages as Ginja (sour cherry liquor), Madeira, and port wines.

Zoom in on the picture below to see the list of options.

As for food options, there was a small buffet with sandwiches and cold cuts and a few snacks like cookies, crackers, and fruit up for grabs.

You can also get a pastries, salads, more sandwiches, and a few other options from the bar (see the pictures with the list of items).

The food was lackluster: while the egg tart was great, sandwiches were tasteless and cod fritters were cold and soggy.

Final Thoughts

Since ANA lounge is the only Priority Pass lounge currently open in Lisbon airport, it automatically gets the title of the best Priority Pass lounge in Lisbon.

It is spacious, so you shouldn’t have a problem with finding a place to chill for a few hours before the flight, but don’t expect gourmet dining.

I do, however, appreciate the fact that ANA lounge offers a variety of Portuguese drinks and snacks options.
