See my post on things to do in Shibuya (including Google map) here.

A visually stunning , absolutely incredible digital art museum. A highlight of our trip.

teamLab Borderless is a group of artworks that form one borderless world. Artworks move out of rooms, communicate with other works, influence, and sometimes intermingle with each other with no boundaries.

A few tips:

  1. Buy tickets in advance – they could be sold out. We bought ours about two weeks prior to the visit. You can buy them here.
  2. Arrive early. We got there about ten minutes before the opening and we barely had to wait to get it. The line was quite long when we were leaving a few hours later.
  3. There is no map, so take your time exploring the museum to make sure you don’t miss anything.

E - Unicorn Gundam Statue at DiverCity

A life-sized statue of Unicorn Gundam.  You can see Unicorn to Destroyer transformation show four times a day: at 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. At night, you can witness the transformation along with the projection show, every 30 minutes from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Check the schedule before you go on the official website.

E - DiverCity

A shopping mall offering a wide selection of Japan-themed souvenirs and a food court with a variety of authentic Japanese restaurants. We put it on our must-do list because we wanted to check the arcade center Round One hoping to have some luck with UFO Catcher machines.

F - Odaiba Statue of Liberty

A small version of famous NYC statue.

G - Aqua City

Another shopping/dining center. Here you will find a rooftop Shinto shrine and a multilingual interactive robot Junco who can provide information on shops and restaurants in the complex and events taking place in the area.

Official website is here.

H - Sony ExploraScience

A hands-on science center that tells a story to explain the link between the newest technology and basic science principles. A great place to occupy kids for a few hours. See more info on the official website.

I - Tokyo Joypolis

An indoor amusement park.
